Selecting the slideshow button on the player will change through
different videos.
We transmit our video content directly to Ustream servers,
where they provide all the storage space and streaming capability for our data. Ustream differs from
YouTube in the fact a video source, camera, DVD player, etc can be viewed live, or can be recorded as a live
show. A video cannot be uploaded to Ustream as a file, however; we can stream them
our data in real time, and it becomes live video. At the same time, we can save a copy and it is
then tagged as "Recorded Live" on their servers.
There are two things to
consider when using UStream's servers - One is their advertisement banner, which
seems to appear less frequently, after viewing for a while. The other consideration is the fact
that the video is compressed to allow for upload bandwidth restrictions, set to approximately
700 kbs. This causes a decrease in the video quality, as explained at: Phantazz TV videos are
available in a much higher resolution. As long as the viewer
is able to download at a speed range of 600 to 700 kbs the system works fairly well, and
in the case of multiple viewers, the resources on UStream's servers are used.
This keeps our upload requirement consistent, as if there is always only one
viewer. As time
goes on, technology will allow greater upload speed capability,
which in turn will result in increased resolution, for you, the viewer.
